Volunteer!

MABDR is always in need of dependable and committed volunteers! There are many ways you can become involved. If you’d like to volunteer, you should have flat-faced breed experience (or be willing to learn), a reference from your current veterinarian, and 2 references from people, not related to you. References from past rescue work or animal welfare are welcome 🙂  Please fill out the the form here (many fields may not apply as this is also used for adoptions).

FOSTER
Foster homes are the bridge from often times a bad past to a second chance at the loving homes they deserve.  We prefer foster homes with bully-breed experience and ones that can commit to two months or more depending on the dog/situation. Some dogs are happy and healthy from the get-go.. others have behavior issues or medical issues. Patience, love and understanding are a MUST. We screen foster homes and follow up often! This is one of the most rewarding ways to give back!!!!

TRANSPORTATION
Transporting dogs from point A to point B is crucial. Sometimes our volunteers drive hundreds of miles to rescue dogs, pick up surrendered dogs or go to shelters where dogs must be picked up and transported to another volunteer or medical facility. This is a wonderful way to volunteer if you cannot foster! Email us if you are able to help! We need transportation volunteers from all of the MidAtlantic States.

FUNDRAISING
Fundraising is KEY to keeping MABDR’s doors open and enabling us to continue saving english bulldogs. If you know anything about the breed you know how very expensive medical costs are. If you would like to head up a fundraising initiative please contact us! We’d love your help 🙂
